Installation Brisbane

If you want a split system installed properly, by people who turn up when they say, do it right, and leave your place the way they found it, you’re in the right spot.

A split system is one of the easiest ways to keep a Brisbane home cool through summer and comfortable into winter. We install and replace split system and reverse cycle air conditioners across Brisbane and the Moreton Bay region. We take care of the air conditioning and the electrical work together, so the whole install is handled by the one team.

Split System Air Conditioning Brisbane Experts

Whether you’re cooling a single room, fitting out a new build, or replacing a unit that’s finally given up, we’ll size the right system for the space and install it to a standard that lasts.

There’s more to a split system install than mounting a unit on the wall. The indoor and outdoor units need the right placement, the refrigerant lines need to be run properly, and the system needs power the switchboard can handle. Most installs just need a dedicated circuit run to the unit. If your switchboard is older or already at capacity and needs an upgrade to take the load, we handle that as part of the install.

Benefits of a Split System AC

  • Cooling and heating in one. Most units we install are reverse cycle, so the same system cools you through summer and warms the room in winter.
  • Room-by-room control. Cool or heat only the rooms you’re using, rather than the whole house, which keeps the running costs down.
  • Cheaper to run. Modern inverter units adjust up and down with demand instead of cycling on and off, so they’re not chewing through power all day.
  • Quiet. The noisy part sits outside. Indoors you get a unit quiet enough for a bedroom or a study.
  • Smart control. Many of the systems we install are Wi-Fi enabled, so you can run them from your phone and set them to suit your day.
  • Quick to install. No ductwork and no major building work. Most installs are done in a single visit.

FAQ's

Yes. In Queensland a split system has to be installed by a licensed installer who can handle both the refrigerant and the electrical work. We’re licensed for both, so the job is done legally and your manufacturer warranty stays intact. An unlicensed or DIY install is illegal and voids the warranty.

Yes. Double-storey installs are common, they just need a bit more planning around where the outdoor unit sits and how the pipe run gets there. We work that out at the quote so you know exactly what’s involved before we start.

Sometimes. A larger unit may need its own circuit, and an older switchboard might not have the room or capacity for it. We check this at the quote and handle any circuit or switchboard work as part of the job, so nothing catches you out on the day.

A reverse cycle air conditioner is a split system that both cools and heats. In summer it works like any air conditioner, and in winter it runs in reverse to warm the room. Most split systems we install are reverse cycle, so you get both from the one unit.

Most single-head installs are done in half a day. Multi-head systems or trickier jobs, like a double-storey home or a longer distance between the indoor and outdoor units, can take a full day. We’ll give you a timeframe when we quote.

It depends on the size of the system, whether it’s single or multi-head, the length of the pipe run, and whether any electrical work such as a new circuit is needed. A straightforward single-room install starts from around $1,900, supplied and installed. You get a clear written quote up front before any work starts.
